Anaphylaxis Training – Practical Training

Practice Session Only

For persons who require anaphylaxis training for thier workplace or community. Complete your Anaphylaxis E Learning and have the practical component signed off by our qualified trainers.

TEACHERS, CHILDCARE WORKERS and COMMUNITY MEMBERS

  • Teachers and Staff working for the New South Wales (NSW) Government Department of Education should complete ASCIA anaphylaxis e-training on the NSW internal learning management system.
  • Teachers & Staff from other schools, childcare educators and community members should complete the ASCIA anaphylaxis e-training courses for schools, children’s education/care (CEC) and community available at https://training.ascia.org.au/

HEALTH PROFESSIONALS

  • Allied Health and Medical Professionals ( GP’s , Physicians, nurses,  paramedics, pharmacists, dentists, podiatrists, first aid trainers etc)   should access the ASCIA e-training courses for health professionals available at https://traininghp.ascia.org.au

Course instructions

  • A username and password must be obtained from the e-training website registration process to participate in a course using one of the links above
  • Upon successful completion of the course (by achieving the required score in the final assessment module quiz) each participant will be able to print out a form confirming successful completion of the course.
  • Book an appointment and BRING YOUR CERTIFICATE WITH YOU so the supervisor can also sign it after they witness you complete the practice.

FREE ONLINE UPDATE COURSE – Introducing Neffy and Jext for anaphylaxis response.

As of March 2026  1. Neffy® – a needle-free adrenaline nasal spray. 2. Jext® – an adrenaline auto-injector have been registered with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and are designed for emergency use. This FREE non-accredited course will provide you with an overview and basic understanding of two new adrenaline devices that have entered the Australian market

Course Details

What you will Learn
  • Practical skills for administering an Adrenaline Auto Injector
  • Anapen and/or EpiPen
Course outcome:

Participants who successfully complete the practical will have their E-learning certificate signed

  • Face-to-Face : 20 Minutes
Entry requirements:

Participants must also be enrolled in a CPR or First Aid Course or be able to show evidence of recent completion.

 

Assessment requirements:

Observation of practical skills

  • Please arrive 15-minutes before the scheduled start time so that your Training facilitator can check your ID and sign you in.
  • Bring your preferred device to complete the course attendance  ( Phone/ Tablet/ Laptop )
  • Bring your Printed E-learning Certificate
