Course description:

This course provides individuals with a practical understanding of fire safety processes and procedures for the home or workplace.

Content in this course developed to cover a broad range of emergencies and facilities as considered in Australian Standard 3745 and Australian Standard 4083. It teaches individuals to be emergency aware and how to effectively respond to emergencies to contribute to a safer environment at work and in the community.

Course Details

What you will Learn

By completing this course, students will gain a basic understanding of:

• Safe work practices

• Emergency signs, signals and warnings

• Emergency systems and equipment

• Evacuation procedures

• Emergency response procedures

• Fire and emergency prevention

Course Duration

The online learning is expected to take approximately 1 hour to complete. These timeframes are estimates. Individuals with prior experience in similar training may complete the course in less time, while those new to the subject may need more time to complete all the learning content

This course is delivered fully online and will be self-paced. Students are expected to complete this course within six (6) months after enrolment.

The flexible format of the course means that you can log in as many times as required to complete the course – you do not need to complete the course all in one sitting.
