One of the things we are going to encounter on our journey is the need to beach our skis at a surf beach. Of course this then means we also will need to launch them from the same beach when we need to get back underway. It’s something we have been giving a lot of thought too and have spent many a sleepless night worrying about how, when and where we are going to have to tackle this nemesis of ours. We’ve done plenty of ocean swells and rough seas and always end the day with a session of wave jumping at Umina Beach but the actual surf beach stuff is something we have been avoiding to be honest. Little were we to know that a company like Excite Safety Training – RTO code 41296 provides courses to cover the scenarios we have been stressing over. The good people from Excite Safety run all sorts of training from Fire & Safety, First aid and of course Boating & PWC courses. Aside from the obvious Boating and Jet-skiing courses on Sea-Doo’s Kawasaki’s and Yamaha WaveRunners Australia being of interest to us, they have spent countless hours with Surf Life Saving Australia as life guards, so they are well adept at reading surf conditions and how to use a jet ski in those conditions safely. We really look forward to getting stuck into some training with these guys and the confidence we get from knowing people with the skill set that Excite Safety have are watching our backs will be invaluable come 1st April.
